Amma, the "hugging saint," came to Albuquerque, and I went to see her. She gives millions of dollars to humanitarian causes and to disaster relief all over the world. She tours internationally and personally embraces the thousands of people who line up to receive blessings from her. Amma is quoted on her website, www.amma.org: "I realize my purpose is to console - to personally wipe away tears through selfless love, compassion, and service." Learning about the scope of her dedication and tireless Love for others makes me ask myself, "What can I do to help?" If we all ask ourselves, "What can I do to help?," change and community begin to be tinged with the glow of Compassion.
