Playing with the idea that a feeling can be conveyed both through words alone (as in the other 6x6 painting titled "Sadness becomes Love: written") as well as through an image, I let my emotions lead this painting on paper. Inscribed in the paint in French is "La tristesse devient l'amour," which in English translates to "Sadness becomes Love." Oil pastels and acryla gouache on 6x6 in. acid-free black fine art paper.
